Apps and links are shortcuts to Windows app and web links. They are arranged in a grid layout at the centre of the home screen user interface and allow you to launch applications directly from Launcher.
There is no limit to the number of applications that can be displayed on the home screen app grid. Deciding what apps and links to show on the home screen can be managed in Apps and links settings.
In settings, administrators can add or remove the following apps and links:
- Windows applications
- Programs (.exe)
- Windows store apps (UWP)

Note: to add apps to the Launcher home screen they must be installed on the device.
Adding and removing Programs (.exe)
To add installed programs, simply navigate to the installed location of the program using the file browser and select it to be added to the home screen.
Programs that have been added will also appear on a list within the app settings, which can also be used to remove programs from Launcher.

Adding and removing Windows Store apps (UWP)
Launcher will automatically list any installed UWP app, which can be added directly from the list provided. Note that it is possible to add multiple UWP apps at one time.
Apps that have been added will also appear on a list within the app settings, which can also be used to remove apps from Launcher.
Adding and removing web links
To add a URL to the home screen, select the add web link option. This opens up a modal that allows you do the following:
- Select a URL: eg www.displaynote.com
- Preview it, to ensure the link is correct
- Give it a name eg Company website
- Give it an icon
- Select a background colour
- Add to the home screen
