Participants can connect using the app (available for Windows/Mac/iOS/Android), or if using a device where an app install is not possible (e.g. Chromebook) they can connect via the web.
Connecting devices using the DisplayNote Classroom app (Windows/Mac/iOS/Android).
To share your desktop or display screen with your audience, ask them to open the app on their device. (Participants can search for ‘DisplayNote’ in the App Store or Play Store). Participants should go to the ‘join a session’ section on the right-hand-side, and enter their name and Session ID.
Please note: if a participant is connecting from a different location, you can send the Session ID via email from the Sessions Control menu (see section/link).
Connecting devices using Chrome.
If participants cannot download the DisplayNote Classroom application, i.e. they have no IT permissions, they can join your session via Chrome browser.
Participants should visit *insert link* and enter their name and the session ID and click 'Join'.
Joining a Quick Start session.
If the presenter has enabled ‘Shortcut Session IDs’ in the settings, participants will be able to join a previous session without entering a Session ID. Participants can then connect to their favourite sessions using the link on the main ‘join a session’ screen.
Joining a session with a QR code.
Participants can also connect by clicking the QR code on the ‘join a session’ screen, entering their name, and holding their camera up to the QR code on the display.
Presenters can click on the QR code to open a larger image of the code. From here, they can also export it as a PDF, if required.
