hands on, including a brand new look for our mobile app, support for Exchange
Server on premise, and more.
We’ve also improved the application’s overall quality of life by addressing problems
found since last month’s release which includesan issue with licence information
not being imported as expected , and certain applications not opening as intended.
Functionality, features and improvements
- Added support for Exchange Server on-premise, allowing those running their own
instance of the Exchange environment to benefit from Launcher’s room calendar. - Optimised the application’s kiosk mode security, preventing batch files from being
run, limiting access to settings, control panel and system registry. - Introduced a new function for system administrators to toggle Launcher’s
- Microsoft sign in capabilities on and off, including connections from the Launcher
mobile app. - Added French, Spanish, German and Chinese Traditional translations to the
Launcher installer. Launcher and Launcher app to receive translations in May.

- Fixed an issue whereby the Zoom call window would be hidden behind Launcher
after joining a meeting. - Fixed a crash that would occur during the setup stage after adding an invalid
character in the last input field for the PIN. - Fixed an issue whereby licence information would not be exported to the
configuration file. - Fixed an issues that would prevent RingCentral and Flatfrog applications from
opening as intended. - Fixed a problem with Skype for Business and Webex, whereby application
windows would not always appear in the foreground, nor would it appear
maximised. - Fixed an issue whereby changing licensing, room or location information would
disable its Bluetooth capabilities. - Fixed a minor issue whereby password field padding would not show any
characters entered. - Fixed an issue whereby the sign in panel would be behave unexpectedly when
trying to open multiple times in quick succession.
Launcher mobile app
Functionality, features and improvements
- Implemented a new design to the Launcher mobile app UI, in line with Launcher’s
most recent visual update. - Added the ability to view meeting details such as date, time and location, as well
as the full list of meeting attendees. - Improved the sign in flow. Users who have already signed into Microsoft will no
longer be prompted to sign in every time they open the mobile application
Fixes to bugs and defects
- Added a workaround to an issue that would occur on Android devices running OS
version 8.1 and above, whereby connections with Launcher would be lost when
locking the device. The workaround applied to Android OS 8.1 devices:
- Allow connections to be maintained while the device is locked
- Require connections to be manually disconnected via Launcher home screen or via the mobile app.
