Important note: Instructions set out in this article are only relevant to users who are within an organisation that runs Skype for Business on premises, as Microsoft has already migrated many of its Skype for Business Online users to Microsoft Teams.
With Launcher, users are able to launch Skype for Business meetings via the home screen room calendar with one simple touch.
This article outlines steps required in order to successfully schedule Skype for Business meetings in Launcher, using MS Outlook.
Please note that one touch functionality is dependent on the successful set up of the Exchange calendar within Launcher. For more information on setting up Exchange calendars in Launcher, please view our related article: Connecting your Exchange calendar.
Using the Outlook Desktop App
To begin with, open your Outlook application and create a meeting as you would usually, then from the new meeting window:
- Enter a title for your meeting
- Add at least one attendee
- Add the room mailbox to the room/location field
- Enable Skype for Business meeting from the option provided
Your meeting will now appear on the Launcher home screen room calendar, and users will have the ability to launch meetings with one simple touch.
Using the Outlook Web App
To begin with, sign in with your Outlook details and create a meeting as you would usually, then from the new meeting window:
- Enter a title for your meeting
- Add at least one attendee
- Add the room mailbox to the room/location field
- Enable Skype for Business meeting from the option provided
Your meeting will now appear on the Launcher home screen room calendar, and users will have the ability to launch meetings with one simple touch.
