To ensure the Launcher Room Calendar is using Graph API:
Scenario 1: Launcher Room Calendar previously connected to a room calendar pre-Launcher version v2.5
- Disconnect the calendar
- Reconnect using the same credentials
- Select the room resource (if using a resource)
Launcher calendar is now using Graph API
Scenario 2: New Launcher setup from Launcher version v2.5 and above
- Connect calendar using your credentials
Launcher calendar is now using Graph API
Things to consider:
When connecting or reconnecting a Microsoft 365 calendar, you may be asked to approve permissions for the Launcher app. This can occur if your organisation requires admin approval for third-party apps, or if you previously connected using the older Exchange integration and need to approve the updated Microsoft Graph permissions. If prompted, your IT administrator may need to approve the request before the connection can be completed.
If you see an “Approval required” message, select Request approval and contact your IT administrator. Once approval has been granted, you can return to Launcher and reconnect your calendar. Your IT administrator may choose to approve the app for the whole organisation so other users can connect without needing additional approval.
Example of request:
If users in your organisation see an “Approval required” message when connecting their Microsoft 365 calendar, an administrator will need to approve the Launcher app.
Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin centre and review the pending request under Enterprise Applications → Admin consent requests. Locate the request for Launcher, review the requested Microsoft Graph permissions, and approve the request.
Once approval is granted, the user can return to Launcher and reconnect their calendar. Administrators may also choose to grant organisation-wide consent so other users can connect their calendars without needing individual approvals.
*Graph API is only available to Launcher v2.5 and above
