Central Management (CM) in DisplayNote Manage lets you view and configure every Montage device on your account from one place, without having to walk up to each screen. This article covers the Devices page — how to find a device, filter and customise the list, and the actions available for each device.
Finding the Devices page
Sign in to DisplayNote Manage and select Montage from the top navigation, then Devices.
The devices list
Each row represents one registered Montage device (a "room"), and shows:
- Room name — the display name configured for the device.
- Status — Online, Offline, Waiting to sync, Update required, License expired, Revoked, or Suspended.
- Groups — any device group(s) the device belongs to.
- Session ID — the current session ID, if a session is active.
- OS — the device's operating system (Android or Windows).
Searching and filtering
- Search devices — use the search box at the top right to find a device by room name.
- Status filter — filter by one or more statuses: Online, Offline, Waiting to sync, Update required, License expired, Revoked, Suspended.
- Groups filter — filter by device group (only shows groups that have been created).
- OS filter — filter by Android or Windows.
Customising the table
Select Manage table to show, hide, and reorder columns. Available columns are: Room name, Status, Groups, Session ID, OS, Device name, Version, Solution, and Model. Drag the handles to reorder columns, use the eye icon to show or hide a column, then select Apply changes.
Managing an individual device
Each row has two icons on the right:
- Settings (gear icon) — opens that device's instance settings (General, Session management, Display options, Network & connections, and Security).
- More actions (⋮ menu) — currently offers Deactivate, which deactivates the device's registration in Central Management.
You can also select the checkboxes next to one or more devices, or the header checkbox to select all devices currently shown, ahead of a bulk action.
