Creating and using settings templates

Settings templates let you configure a Montage device once and reuse that configuration across other devices, instead of setting up each device by hand.

Where to find templates

In DisplayNote Manage, go to Montage > Settings templates.

Creating a template

1. Select Create template.
2. Choose the Operative System the template applies to — Android or Windows.
3. Give the template a Name and, optionally, a Description.
4. Select Create.

You can then open the new template and configure the same General, Session management, Display options, Network & connections, and Security settings described elsewhere in this section — they are saved as part of the template rather than applied to a single device immediately.

Saving an existing device's settings as a template

From a device's settings page (Montage > Devices, then the settings/gear icon), select Save as template at the top of the page to capture that device's current configuration as a new, reusable template.

Applying a template to a device

From a device's settings page, select Load template at the top of the page, choose the template to apply, then select Apply changes to push it to the device.
