Security settings for a Montage device

The Security tab lets you restrict how a Montage device can be connected to, and lock down its on-screen settings.

Where to find it

In DisplayNote Manage, go to Montage > Devices, select the settings (gear) icon on the device, then select Security.

Available options

• Local connections only — restricts the device to accepting connections only from devices on the same local network, blocking connections routed via the cloud.
• Lock settings — locks the device's on-screen settings menu so it can't be changed at the device itself. When enabled, a PIN field appears (for example 1234) — set a PIN that must be entered to unlock settings on the device. Use the eye icon next to the field to reveal the PIN while typing.

Saving your changes

Select Apply changes at the bottom of the page to push updates to the device, or Cancel to discard them.
