Creating and using device groups

Groups let you organise Montage devices — for example by building, floor, or team — so you can filter the device list and manage access more easily.

Where to find groups

In DisplayNote Manage, go to Montage > Groups.

Creating a group

1. Select Create group.
2. Enter a Name for the group and, optionally, a Description.
3. Select Create.

Groups are also used to assign "Operators" and manage device access — controlling which team members can view or manage the devices in a given group.

Filtering devices by group

On the Montage > Devices page, use the Groups filter to show only devices belonging to a particular group.
