The Session management tab controls how many people can join a Montage session and which in-session collaboration tools are available.
Where to find it
In DisplayNote Manage, go to Montage > Devices, select the settings (gear) icon on the device, then select Session management in the left-hand menu.
Available options
- Unlimited connections — removes the limit on how many participants can connect to a session at once.
- Moderator mode — gives the session host moderator controls over who is connected. Turning this on also unlocks two related options listed below it:
- Preview mode — lets the moderator preview a participant's screen before displaying it to the room.
- Extended grid — enables a larger 3x3 grid layout for viewing more connected participants at once, instead of the standard grid.
- Floating ID — shows the session/connection ID as a floating overlay on screen, so it stays visible while content is being presented.
- Whiteboard — enables the Montage whiteboard tool for the session.
Note: Preview mode and Extended grid are greyed out until Moderator mode is turned on, as they are sub-features of Moderator mode.
